My motherboard seems to be broken, pleasehelp

Hi there, my computer stopped sending signal to the monitor, the keyboard and the mouse and its been broken since May time now! I have finally found out that it's probably the motherboard that has gone bust. I have a 3rd Generation Intel Core i5 3570K 3.40GHz Socket LGA1155 processor and I am wondering if I have to buy a 1155 socket motherboard again? or does it not matter? sorry not really sure how it works but I am hoping that someone can guide me in the right direction please
